Problem with IP Cameras RTSP Stream

Hi,

I have an ip camera broadcasting rtsp video. I can watch stream on VLC player with this url: rtsp://[my-ip]:554/.

I successfully completed all steps in this link. In incoming streams panel, camera status shows active. When i click test players and click start video show black screen (the is no errors showing) and status shows “MySteam stream is now published.” Where am I doing wrong?

I created another stream using example BigBuckBunny rtsp broadcast. It’s working properly.

Hi,

If you’re using an IP camera you should follow this article - How to re-stream video from an IP camera (RTSP/RTP re-streaming).

The above tutorial also outlines some troubleshooting steps such as using the rtpIgnoreProfileLevelId Property.

The rtpIgnoreProfileLevelId can also be added on a per stream basis if you have multiple streams and only one of them is causing an issue. To add Properties on a per stream basis please see the article below.
