Hi. I have a TBS Technologies TBS2600 HD-SDI encoder (see http://www.tbsdtv.com/products/tbs2600-hd-sdi-video-encoder.html). The video feed comes from a camera with a BNC output, and the audio through a stereo 1/8" connection from an audio mixer (Bose ESP-88). The connection from the Wowza Streaming Server (v. 4.4.1, build 17882 on Ubuntu) to the encoder is via RTSP to the main output from the encoder. The connection is successful, but there is no audio track in the output to the client. When I connect directly to the encoder via RTSP from VLC, it plays fine. In this case, the codec information in VLC is:
Stream 0
Type: Video
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (h264)
Stream 1
Type: Audio
Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
Stream 2
Type: Video
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (h264)
Resolution: 1280x738
Display Resolution: 1280x720
Decoded format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV
Stream 3
Type: Audio
Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
Channels: Stereo
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
There is nothing in either the access or error logs concerning a lack of audio; there are, however, lost packets (usually 2 packets at a time). Currently, the camera is about 500 miles from the server, but I am in the process of setting up a new server on-site.
The nDVR is enabled, and I have tried with the Transcoder both enabled (audio set to “Passthrough”) and disabled.
What can I check?
Thank you.
Mike.
