Hi,
I am trying to play mp4 files with subtitles using the wowza media server.
The subtiltles located in the mp4 file as a seperated trak.
I did it using Subler http://code.google.com/p/subler/
When I play the mp4 file from the memory of the ipad I can see the subtitles,
but when I play it from the Wowza the subtitles does not shown at all.
What should I do to play the subtitles using Wowza.
Thanks,
Gal Betser

At this time we do not support subtitles from an MP4 file. It is something we are interested in adding in a future release. No definitive timeframe.

Huw,
There is no update on this yet. Same status.
Richard
I was wondering if there is any news on providing this feature, or suggestions as to how to achieve it ?
Many Thanks
Huw
Thanks for the update Richard - really disappointing news though
What about now? Is it supported yet?
Doesn’t this feature simply mean getting Wowza to stream another data track to the remote device, for playback?
Hi cc0004,
Just FYI, Wowza can do subtitles with .flv and flash: https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-inject-cue-points-or-metadata
Is this support available in Wowza server 3?
Just confirming as it is a WMS 2 forum.
Thanks
