Media Cache Store Max size setting?

I am using Amazon S3 and Media Cache.

Path *

${com.wowza.wms.context.ServerConfigHome}/mediacache2

Maximum Size *

20

gigabytes

Write Rate

16

megabytes per second

Write Rate Max Bucket Size

64

megabytes

But I saw on this page

https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-scale-video-on-demand-streaming-with-media-cache

the default says

“This folder has a maximum size of 10GB, a maximum write rate of 16 MB per second, and a write rate bucket size of 64MB.”

Since I made a new Dir called /mediacache2 can I go over 10Gb? Our average files are 3-4Gb si I want to make it 20-30GB

thx!

Hi Brian.

Yes, you can make the folder 30GB.

The rest of that sentence you quoted is as follows:

This folder has a maximum size of 10GB, a maximum write rate of 16 MB per second, and a write rate bucket size of 64MB. These default settings are adequate for testing and for very low utilization; however, a production environment may require more space and resources.

Hope this helps.
