Sometimes live streams start, run for a few seconds, then go back to where they started, and then play normally.
It would be nicer if they didn’t do this. You can see below 00:11:48.355 is where it happens - there has been no reload on my side.

Interestingly, it only happens with certain broadcasts. I will try to find out their FMLE settings.

Hello alancostello,
Have you seen this issue occur only with Wowza Player or other players as well.
You would need to isolate the issue to either the stream having issues or the player, testing the stream with another player, such as the JWPlayer Demo here will do that for you.
Regards,
Alex
Thanks for the confirmation Dmitry,

I experience this on WowzaStreamingEngine 4.0.3.
It happens in Chrome-based browsers, Firefox and Edge under Windows 10.
It does NOT happen on the same Wowza server when using JWPlayer (RTMPS/HTTPS) or HTML5 tag (HTTPS).
Please write if you need more info.
PS I may provide private URL to check it but only for Wowza staff members. Write to dm9@mylinks.ru for this.
Hello Dmitry9,
It might be better to open a support ticket so we can get the private URL that way.
Are you also seeing this only on certain broadcasts like alancostello or all broadcasts?
What is the source of the live stream?
Can you see if it happens with the default vod application and sample.mp4?
To work with Wowza Player, your encoded live streams and files must use H.264 video and HE-AAC (v1/2) or LC-AAC (v1/2) audio.
Regards,
Alex
Hi Alex,
My users all broadcast using AAC, not LC-AAC.
Where is this information, and would AAC audio cause problems?
Thanks,
ys
