Live Streaming with alternative audio (HDS)

Hi all,

Here is what i want to do

  1. Stream a MPEG-TS stream to Wowza (Contains 1V and 4 pairs of audio)

  2. Create four stream files (1. Video and 1st audio , 2. 2nd audio , 3, 3rd audio , 4. 4th audio) , each stream file contains VID and PID for that MPEG-TS

  3. Using Wowza Transcode Addon to create ABR stream for Adobe HDS

  4. DVR support

  5. Using OSMF base flash player to play the live / dvr stream , user can switch different audio without reloading the video.

Is that technically possible ?

I am able to do alternative audio in VOD application, but still getting the live streaming to work

Hi,

Please see our article - How to specify per-stream settings in .stream files, this will allow you to ingest each stream with the video and correct language.

The transcoder will allow you to create multiple keyframe aligned renditions of a source stream which can be encoded at different bitrates for adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming.

The adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming article will help you to create a .smil file for playing the ABR streams.
