Live RTSP to Akamai

Hi,

I am using VLC to publish a live stream to Wowza using MPEG-TS/RTP and it works great. I was wondering if the RTSP output for this live stream can be pushed to an Akamai entry point?

Thanks,

Sud

You can use Push Publishing addon. When you start the stream in StreamManager it will get pushed to the CDN.

Richard

It pushes RTMP. The source can be a MediaCaster source. The push is triggered either by an encoder pushing a stream to the push app, or starting a stream in StreamManager or StartUpStreams.xml

Take a look at these packages.

This one is easier to use than the next:

Thanks for the quick reply Richard. The documentation for Push Publishing addon says it supports RTMP. Does it work with RTSP too?

Thanks,

Sud

Use CDNs and services to distribute live streams

Richard

If it only pushes RTMP, it wont work for my use case. Any suggestions on how I can push an RTSP stream?

Thanks Richard. I’ll play with these packages and see how it goes.
