Hello!
Sometimes DVR chunklists returns invalid EXT-X-TARGETDURATION.
For example, when dvrChunkDurationMinimum= 4000:
#EXTM3U
#EXT-X-VERSION:3
#EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:5
#EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE:0
#EXTINF:4.0,
media-unwtwciqw_DVR_0.ts
#EXTINF:4.0,
media-unwtwciqw_DVR_1.ts
#EXTINF:4.0,
media-unwtwciqw_DVR_2.ts
#EXTINF:4.0,
media-unwtwciqw_DVR_3.ts
#EXTINF:4.0,
media-unwtwciqw_DVR_4.ts
#EXTINF:4.0,
media-unwtwciqw_DVR_5.ts
Or another one:
#EXT-X-VERSION:3
#EXT-X-ALLOW-CACHE:NO
#EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:7
#EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE:19693
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19693.ts
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19694.ts
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19695.ts
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19696.ts
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19697.ts
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19698.ts
#EXTINF:4,
media-uyii01y32_DVR_19699.ts
In some cases EXT-X-TARGETDURATION equals 30 (instead of 4). Because of this, the player updates the playlist too rarely and users get buffering errors
wowza verson is 4.8.9 (build 20201221171606)
what could be the reason for this behavior?
Thank you
