Internet usage adaptive bitrate.

I am new here and I have a question regarding the internet usage when using adaptive bitrate.

So far I’ve been using youtube to live stream so I dont have to worry about transrating, so as long as I have enough upload speed for 720p or whatever I’m good to go.

But now that I want to use wowza I’d like to know how much upload speed I need to stream from 1080p all the way down to 144p.

I’d also like to now if using wowza’s native player can handle the adaptive bitrate, also not sure if wowza has a native player… and if so where can I find the code to embed in a webpage and it’s direct link to watch.

How powerfull would a desktop would have to be to run wirecast plus wowza server?
