I am using Wowza Go-coder Android SDK and i am following provided Android sample.
I am able to record live video to stream engine. But after calling end broadcast it not uplaod/save last few or more recorded second.
e.g. If i am recording 2 min it only save 1.40 sec sec that is 20 sec less than actual recorded duration.
I appreciate if you help to overcome this problem.
Hi Scott,
Do you use the Wowza Streaming Engine’s built-in features to control recording; and if so, how and when do you stop the recording?
We are waiting for your feedback asap.
We are using inbuilt . We have not changed anything there to control recording and we are stop streaming using gocoder sdk end broadcast method. We also enable Adaptive Bitrate Streaming using mWZBroadcastConfig.isABREnabled(); for the video bitrate adjust automatically based on bandwidth constraints
Have you tried with other encoders, e.g. OBS Studio, and seen if that has the same problem?--------yes,we tried through OBS and it works absolutely fine.
In other words: is this a problem on the mobile (encoder) side, or the server side?---------- We suspect its becuase of gocoder sdk.
I don’t have an immediate answer that solves your problem. Have you tried with other encoders, e.g. OBS Studio, and seen if that has the same problem? In other words: is this a problem on the mobile (encoder) side, or the server side?
Since GoCoder SDK is EOL; I recommend to test alternatives and see if they have the same problem. If you expect a bug, the only thing you can do is contact support@wowza.com, but I doubt they’ll fix it. See also https://info.wowza.com/product-notification-april-2020
