i want to upload a local video file to wowza server, can i do this with wowza streaming engine?
Your question was answered in ticket 285752. From the ticket.
Wowza Streaming Engine can play MP4 files if they are uploaded to the /content folder. We don’t have any automated process to do this but so long as the file is compatible with VOD playback and is in the /content folder then you can stream it, for example by using the pre-installed ‘vod’ application.
We provide one example file called sample.mp4 that you should see in your Wowza /content folder and you can test playback either via the Test Player in the Engine Manager or by using an external player and providing the playback URL, for example (Apple HLS protocol) http://wowza-ip:1935/vod/sample.mp4/playlist.m3u8.
