it more sounds like you have to fix that in Android/IOS layer with a custom ROM. From what i know is that an app is a layer on top of your OS, so an app can’t can’t control the on/off button directly.

Still even then it still can be build in on the hardware. (just hold the button for 10 seconds to power it off).

How would you otherwise reboot your phone/device with a build in battery (which would be the only option left to reboot your device).

The feature that you’re describing sounds like background broadcasting. If so, this is in our product roadmap. However, I do not have a timeline yet as to when this will become available. You can check our Release Notes to see when it is added to a release.
