how to record stream in .mp4 format video using flex.

Hi everyone,

I am recording video from flex client, publishing net stream in .flv format.

can any one explain me how to publish video in .mp4 format.

Hi,

To record your file in an .mp4 file, you will need to have H264 video and AAC audio.

In order to convert the H264 video and Speex audio that the Flex encoder is providing into H264/AAC, you will need to use the transcoder addon.

Here is an article describing how to do that: https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-convert-flash-player-11-output-from-h-264-speex-audio-to-h-264-aac-audio-using-wowza-transcoder

You can then record the transcoded stream.

Hi,

In order to save a .mp4 file, Wowza will need H264 video and AAC or MP3 audio as an input stream.

If you can convert your stream coming from the Flex encoder into H264/AAC, prior to Wowza, then you don’t have to use the Transcoder addon.

Zoran

Great.

Thank you for the feedback.
