How do you uninstall Wowza?

I tried to install the 10 user free version to try it but it crapped out writing to the license file

I then used touch & chmod to create a writeable license file but now Wowza appears hosed because of the failed install.

I’ve checked the forums and I’ve checked the documentation… unless I searched for it incorrectly (re uninstall, remove etc)… I can find NO reference about how to remove this from my system so I can start over??

Any help would be appreciated.

Instructions are in the User’s Guide, page 11 & 12.

I would also be sure it all gets cleaned up properly by executing the following command:

rm -rf /usr/local/WowzaMediaServerPro

Try executing the command:

rpm -e WowzaMediaServerPro-1.6.0-ga

This will uninstall Wowza Pro properly for the rpm system.

I am trying to uninstall Wowza 1.6 so to load 1.7 (linux)

I have followed the uninstall instructions inc.

rm -rf /usr/local/WowzaMediaServerPro

I then install 1.7 and get to this -

Do you agree to the above license terms? [yes or no]

yes

Preparing… ########################################### [100%]

package WowzaMediaServerPro-1.7.0-ga.noarch is already installed

Install Location:

/usr/local/WowzaMediaServerPro

To enter serial number:

cd /usr/local/WowzaMediaServerPro/bin

./startup.sh

But no Wowza directories have accually been installed in the /usr/local folder?

I can’t work out how to get rid of WowzaMediaServerPro-1.7.0-ga.noarch?

Does anyone have any clues?

Cheers
