How can I know the bitrate on a live stream published to wowza?

I have a live RTMP stream published to wowza which can come at any bitrate.

I need to be able to know the incoming bitrate of the stream to generate multiple bitrates for segmentation. e.g RTMP stream is incoming at 1000 kbps (if i can read it on wowza, then i can further chunk it as bitrate/2 and bitrate/4).

Hello, use access to REST API to get stream properties at easy xml format. Then you can do anything with stream using transcoder.
