Hi,

Are you saying that the stream is not playing in the Test Players?

What’s the source, is it RTSP?, if so ensure you used “RTP” as the MediaCaster Type when connecting to the stream.

If the stream is RTMP ensure you use “liverepeater” as the MediaCaster Type.

Some IP cameras send additional application tracks that Wowza server can’t understand.

You can filter out these tracks by adding the following property to the MediaCaster/Properties container in [install-dir]/conf/[application]/Application.xml:

    <Name>rtspFilterUnknownTracks</Name>
    <Value>true</Value>
    <Type>Boolean</Type>
</Property>

Hi,

That’s unfortunate as Wowza can’t ingest a HTTP source stream.

Are you able to get the stream with a different protocol?

You may be able to use VLC player to re-stream the source to Wowza Streaming Engine. Please see the article below.

If you need help with VLC player commands please contact VLC player support as some commands may have changed since the article was last updated.

Did you try the example commands to see if this was successful before editing the commands for your source stream?
