h.264 Decoder with SDI output

Hi,

I need equipment suggestions for a hardware h.264 decoder with SDI output. The decoder would connect to a Wowza stream via the internet and output it via SDI.

Regards,

Manuel.-

Hi Manuel,

Sorry, I have no recommendations with anything other than an HDMI output. You can certainly use an HDMI->SDI offboard converter, but that’s running up the cost of the solution.

Maybe a member of the community will post a suggestion here?

You may also want to contact some of the hardware encoder vendors. They frequently build decoder boxes with SDI outputs, but most are setup to be a matched pair speaking a proprietary protocol.

Hi Manuel,

We have 4 set top boxes we’ve tested in this list:

Several of them are available with an HDMI output.

Do U have any experiences with Vunow VN1000HD ? how to setup it for receiving any stream from WMS ?

I could try with HDMI, what hardware did you have in mind?

Thanks,

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply, I’ll take a look.

Cheers,

Did you try Amazon UK?

Don’t know if they ship to where you are, but they have this one available:
