We were using red5 as the live streaming server since 2 years. Now we’re considering to move to the wowza. I subscribed to the trial version, and installed it to a m1.large ec2 instance 2 days ago. Everything seemed ok initially, but sometimes the live streaming freezes for 2-3 hours, and then returns normal. When it freezes I start using red5 and then everything is ok. I think I have to configure something, but I don’t know where to start. Could somebody tell me where to look? Thanks
This sounds like a network connectivity issue. Can you please explain your set up?
What encoder are you using?
What are the stream specs, i.e. bitrate, frame size, etc.?
How many playback clients are you serving?
