Flowplayer Spins 0.10.0 released

We are happy to announce the v0.10.0 release of Flowplayer Spins, our reels experience package for short-video content. There are several new configuration options:

  • Added custom ad placement options — two new config options give finer control over where ads appear in a spins feed. firstAdIndex sets the spin index the first ad shows on (optionally combined with adsFrequency to set the cadence from that point). adPositions accepts an explicit array of spin indexes (e.g. [2, 7, 11]) for fully custom, non-uniform placement, and overrides both adsFrequency and firstAdIndex when set.
  • Added a close button for overlays — a new closeButton config option renders a close button on the container, for use in overlay patterns. Clicking it dispatches a spins:close event (spinEvents.CLOSE); the library does not remove the container itself, so implementors handle teardown in their own event listener.
  • Added article link pills — SpinItem now supports an article_url property. Items with an article_url render a link pill (default label “Read more”) above the player controls that opens the URL in a new tab. The label can be overridden feed-wide with the new articleLabel config option. Only absolute http/https URLs are accepted.
