Facebook Live Streaming

Hi,

we use Wowza Streaming Engine (4.6.0.02) and currently there seems to be a bug with Facebook integration.

I setup a stream target for Facebook (built-in Facebook Integration).

The target waits for a stream and then immediately there’s an “error” sign.

“Debug log” is on but there is no information in the log files.

Sometimes (randomly) the stream will start some minutes later, which is not what we expect.

I have to mention that it works absolutely perfectly when setting up the same without built-in Facebook Integration.

When using a custom stream target and copy+paste the Facebook RTMP url, it works reliably and perfect.

The downside is, that we cannot really automate the process that way. We have to setup a Facebook Stream and type the RTMP URL every day.

Is it possible to create a “plugin” or “add-on” for WowzaStreamingEngineManager that allows to generate Custom Stream Targets?

If so, we would try to integrate our own “Facebook” - Streaming Target, which uses our own Facebook-App.

best regards
