We are doing On-the-fly CENC-Multi-DRM encryption using server-side API for both VOD and LIVE (https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-secure-mpeg-dash-streaming-using-common-encryption-cenc). This was working with Wowza Streaming Engine 4.3 for both PlayReady and Widevine. With Wowza Streaming Engine 4.4 we are seeing the following exception when encrypting the VOD content:

The same encryption is working fine for LIVE content. Have there been any changes from 4.3 to 4.4 that we need to account for?

The same encryption is working fine for LIVE content. Have there been any changes from 4.3 to 4.4 that we need to account for?

The issue originally raised was resolved in that earlier release. It could be that you are experiencing a similar but unresolved problem. In order for us to determine that can I ask you to open a support ticket including the files as mentioned by Jason_T as well as any other material that will help us to reproduce it (keyfiles etc) and we can investigate this further for you.

I have received confirmation from Wowza that this is a bug in 4.4.0.
A fix for this issue is being developed and will be included in the next release (4.4.1). I do not have a definite timeframe as to the release date, but please do keep an eye on the Software Updates page.

OK, it looks like there is a patch to Wowza (4.4.1.01) that can fix this… It did for me…
