Dropped Frame Logging Verbiage

I’ve enabled the rtpDePacketizerPacketSorterLogPacketLoss property in WowzaStreamingEngine settings to track dropped frames. I know certain cameras on the network are experiencing dropped frames today, but I can’t seem to find any related error logs entires.

My question is: what is the verbiage that I should be searching for to find information surfaced by the rtpDePacketizerPacketSorterLogPacketLoss property?

Hi @Paul Oginni, I checked with the engineers and they said that you would get RTPDePacketizerWrapperPacketSorter.packetLoss as an entry in your logs with additional information.

Hi Rose,

  • After about a month, we’re still not seeing the “RTPDePacketizerWrapperPacketSorter” string come through in the logs.
  • We have enabled the “rtpDePacketizerPacketSorterLogPacketLoss” property in the Wowza configuration
  • Is there something additional that we need to do in order to make sure that these events are captured in our logs?
