Dreambox to Wowza

Hi

This is my first post so please understand. I have Dreambox DM800HD at home and I would like to re-stream some channels via Wowza server installed on my Windows 7 machine.

Can I directly stream to Wowza and publish it or I must use VLC to trans-code it first?

Hi,

Wowza Streaming Engine is not currently able to ingest HTTP based video streaming protocols. You should be using a tool such as VLC or FFMPEG to ingest the stream coming from your Dreambox and push it to your Wowza server.

Hi,

We’re not familiar with Stalker Portal so can’t really comment, but the cards can be used in many different encoders, commercial and other, so should be goo to capture with for streaming purposes.

Thank you Zoran. So have installed Stalker portal and I would like to stream channels via Wowza to stalker. Do you think is best solution buy dvb-s2 cards?
