Difference in Aspect ratio between Adobe rtmp player and Adobe HDS player

Tried playing the same stream on Wowza streaming engine’s testplayer. I see the difference in aspect ratio of video between Adobe rtmp player and Adobe HDS player. Noticed that when stream starts on Adobe rtmp player first few frames aspect ratio is same as what Adobe HDS shows, but then it readjusts.

Why is there the difference between two players ?

Hi,

Can you provide details of the stream you are using and we can look more closely into it.

For a fuller response it may be better to send all the details to support@wowza.com which will generate a ticket. If you do this please include any stream or stream file contents and also the following would be very helpful,

  • A ZIP file containing your conf/, logs/, transcoder/ and manager/logs folders. If you are not sure how to get this information please see the following tutorial. Please do make sure you provide logs which show Wowza server starting.

  • If you have a live stream please outline the type of encoder in use along with the encoding settings for the stream. If you are using a .stream file to start restreaming please provide this.

  • If you have a on demand stream you may be asked to provide access to the content you are using for further testing. At this stage it is not required.

  • If you are using multiple bitrates (ABR) then please provide the SMIL file associated with your configuration.

kind regards,

Paul
