Custom HLS/HDS Manifests and Chunks Naming

Hello,

when playing back an HLS stream I get quite a random name of the chunk, something like this:

app/amlst:streamname/media-uf9losd77_b368640_3365.ts

Is it possible to have more control over it? I would like to add additional metadata into the name: media-uf9losd77_b368640_3365_{metadata}.ts

I tried using IMediaStreamNameAliasProvider2 without any luck.

Hi mexxik,

This was handled in a ticket, but for other users, this is currently not supported. It has been submitted to our Enhancement Request queue, although there is no time frame yet as to when it would be deployed.
