Convert an rtmp or http in stream to MPEG-TS out? And MPEG-TS out, UDP, multicast?

Hi,

Sorry if this question is a duplication, but I did not find it in the forums:

We are using the Bitgravity CDN to transport our stream and receive an http .flv stream back from them. We then need to deliver MPEG-TS, UDP, multicast.

Can WOWZA do this?

Thanks!

No, we do not currently have a way to repurpose this stream. You can contact BitGravity to see if they can provide you an RTMP stream. If you can get a RTMP rendition of the stream then you can use the live stream repeater to re-stream the stream. This is described in the User’s Guide.

You can send out MPEG-TS over multicast from any input source. The H.264/AAC parameter/configuration of the input is what will be pushed out of the server. Wowza does not do any transcoding. The package to push out an RTP stream (without it being an RTSP/RTP pull from a player) is here:

Hi again,

I’ve looked around the forum and found bits and pieces in many places, but am not clear if the following is possible or how to achieve it:

We now do have and rtmp (or rtp) stream available. The output demands are still MPEG-TS, UDP multicast. Can such an output be created from an rt(m)p input or only from an input that is already MPEG-TS?

Also, assuming we deliver in CBR, would the output conform to NAL/HRD?

Thanks,

Peter
