conclusion on Load Test Result

Hi,

I have done load testing with wowza 4.1.1 with latest load test tool. Here is my result from three client machines.

1.Tested 400 counts in single machine

Status running :400 currBehind:1

able to see upto 180 counts in http://server:8086/connectioncounts?flat

my question : I can see 400 counts in status running, but connection count shows the maximum count is 180. How can i conclude my test result?

2.Tested 400+400(800) counts in two different machines simultaneously, got below result

Status running :400 currBehind:1

Status running :400 currBehind:1

able to see upto 270 counts in http://server:8086/connectioncounts?flat

3.Tested 400+400+400(1200) counts in three different machines simultaneously, got below result

Status running :400 currBehind:1

Status running :400 currBehind:1

Status running :400 currBehind:1

able to see upto 381 counts in http://server:8086/connectioncounts?flat

Please give me suggestions on above result.

Hi,

The connectioncounts from the built-in HTTPProvider will be the accurate load as the load testing tool is a very simple load tool and doesn’t account for dropped connections, timeouts etc.

To be sure, I’d compare the connectioncounts you’re getting against the statistics provided in Wowza Streaming Engine Manager.
