Combining Multiple Live streams to one

Hi ,

I have a requirement of combining multiple live streams (from say 4 presenters) to one (each stream occupying 25% space) and then broadcast that combined stream to our end users. while researching i could find some softwares like wirecast which can help to achieve what we are trying to achieve. But using a software like wirecast requires manual intervention which we want to avoid. So i want to know is there a way to combine multiple streams to single stream out of box from wowza.

If thats not possible then which sdk would you recommend me to use for this kind of stream manipulation.

is xuggler (http://www.xuggle.com/xuggler/ ) a good option for this .

Hi,

The Picture in Picture or Video Mosaic is not a feature that is currently available in Wowza Streaming Engine.

I am not familiar with any third party software that might be able to combine the 4 incoming streams into one and deliver that stream to Wowza.

Hi,

I assume this would be possible using ffmpeg in front of Wowza, using ffmpeg as a pre-processor to merge the four incoming streams into one. If you want one of Wowza’s authorized consultants to help you find a solution, please post your request in the “Find a consultant” forums.

Thanks. I am currently exploring Xuggler which is built on top of ffmpeg . i will try to get more help from “Find a consultant forum” .
