Try these steps:

Or open all (0-65535) UDP ports between Wowza and VLC, or at least the ones you are trying to use (10000 - 10003)

It is still udp ports are blocked, as you highlighted in red. Add this to Application.xml /MediaCaster /Properties container:

Using the sdp method, you have to change the dst to the Wowa IP address, then copy the .sdp file to Wowza content folder, then start stream in StreamManager using the name of the sdp file, i.e, “vlc.sdp” would be the stream name/

Hello ayuhamaro,

It looks like you’re trying to convert a .asf file to a h.264 mp4a/AAC RTP stream with an .sdp file. Wowza is saying the .sdp file is not being created. It looks like the vlc command is failing: “main input debug: EOF reached”

My suggestion is to start simpler, using the sample files included with Wowza. Try something like this:

cvlc -vvv sample.mp4 --sout “#transcode{venc=x264{keyint=15},vcodec=h264,vb=0, scale=0}:rtp{dst=127.0.0.1,port=10000,mux=ts}”

What do you mean by “has been fixed”? Do you mean you are no longer getting the “Failed to bind errors”?

You need to do some systematic troubleshooting.

To test if it’s a problem with your VLC command, start your VLC stream, then open another VLC gui and try to play the stream.
To test if your network is blocking port 10000 use telnet or netcat like this:

a. Stop Wowza. Start netcat in listen mode on the server for udp port 10000: nc -l -u 10000

b. On your client send “test” to the server: echo test | nc -u ipaddress 10000

-On the server you should then see “test” appear, telling you port 10000 is open.

Yes, you can have vlc on one computer and wowza on another. Just change the IP addresses. I think, you just need to copy the .sdp file you generated locally to the remote Wowza server, and then just omit the part that says “sdp=file:///C:\Program Files\Wowza Media Systems\Wowza Media Server 2.2.4\content\vlc.sdp” in your vlc command. But, I haven’t tested that.
