Axis 214 PTZ issues

I am trying to stream from one of our 214 PTZ Axis Cameras.

This is part of our log file.

My stream command is

rtsp://74.79.206.69:554/mpeg/media.amp

We also would like to stream from an Axis 241AQ.

Is the 241 supported by Wowza?

We want to stream live from the cockpit of our boat using EVDO.

We currently use this code and it works but would like to use WOWZA

Any help would be appreciated.

I do not believe this camera support H.264 video. So we do not support it at this time. The only two Axis cameras that I know of that support H.264 are: AXIS M1011 and AXIS P3301.

Is is less of a Wowza issue and more of a player issues. The players only support H.264/AAC. So we need a source stream that uses the same format. You can transcode the streams on the fly using products like:

As of this post Wowza requires MPEG4 Part 10. And I think that is still current.

You need to transcode, that’s what the links in previous post are for.

That camera still only supports mpeg-4 part 2 video. But what has changed in Wowza is the addition of the Wowza Transcoder add-on which supports mpeg-4 part 2 for decode, to transcode to h.264. Otherwise Wowza does not support mpeg-4 part 2 video.

Hi ALL,

I am trying to re-stream RTSP video from Vivotek IP7131 ip camera. Camera specification says that support MPEG-4 codec, but not mention which part 2 or 10. I’m also getting RTSP video for testing (rtsp://IP/live.sdp) via Quick Time and SMPlayer players.

I am using Wowza Media Server Pro 1.7.0 build11414 one month trial version for re-streaming , but getting following errors:

RTPDePacketizerRFC3984H264.handleRTPPacket: Unsupported packet type: MTAP-24

As I can see from SMPlayer player’s log files, camera’s video type/codec is MP4V-ES. What is wrong with my camera or with my setup? Do Wowza supports MP4V-ES codec?

I’m facing the same problem with my 223m and 214 Axis cameras :frowning:

I don’t want to waste my cameras and buy another cameras for $1200 each…

Please guys make a patch to support these cameras … :frowning:

As you mentioned, these cameras don’t support H.264. Now I have one of my camera configured with a public IP address. Is there a way to pull the data from the camera to the server other than using H.264.

Hi everybody. Is there any progress about this case since 2010 year? Have the same problem: PTZ 214 camera and Wowza 3.6.2 version
