I have set up Wowza and have created an ACC stream with less than 2 sec delay when accessing the live stream with Google Chrome, however when I access the same stream with Safari there is a 20 - 30 sec delay. Is there an issue with Safari buffering the audio or is there a setting that can be altered to provide a “real time” feed for the Safari stream?
HLS in general has much higher latency than RTMP, so some tuning could be done, so delay will be nearly 9 sec (however load on server will be increased).

What is the playback client you are using?
Are you using the same player in both browsers?
