Audio out of sync (RTMP)

Are there any creative geniuses out there who have som good ideas to this problem :slight_smile:

We have two operating environment (testing and Production).

Not always but mostly audio is out of sync with video in the test environment,

We use pexip (www.pexip.com) for virtual meeting rooms. Pexip support RTMP and the Production environment works great but when we are streaming from the same solution to the other wowza server (test environment) we get audio problems.

The test and Production server is in the same network With the same firewall rules.

I have noticed two Things:

  1. If i set the wowza Application to not start “Record all incoming streams” and I have to manually have to start recording the incoming stream, the audio is ALWAYS ok.

  2. But if the checkbox for “Record all incoming streams” is on the stream will start but the audio will not be in sync.

Test environment are running Wowza Streaming Engine 4.4.0.

Production environment are running 4.1.2

Hello there and welcome to the Wowza support forum.

What are the video/audio codecs coming from the source? And the fps and key frame interval? As this may be a factor.

Usually this is an encoder issue. There is nothing you can do server-side to fix sync issues, you can only generate logging to debug:

It may be best to open a ticket with support by following the steps here
