Announcing Wowza Streaming Engine 4.8.16

Here’s what’s new.

Wowza Streaming Engine 4.8.16 contains fixes that improve the functionality of the media server software. We’ve also added support for H264CodecConfigInfo parameters required for decoding picture timing SEI messages.

Here’s what changed.

  • Added support for the following H264CodecConfigInfo parameters required for decoding picture timing SEI messages:

    • public int initialCbpRemovalDelayLengthMinus1
    • public int cbpRemovalDelayLengthMinus1
    • public int dpbOutputDelayLengthMinus1
    • public int timeOffsetLength
    • behindVideoOff
    • resetDecoderOnTransitionToVideoBehindState
  • Fixed an issue in which a deadlock could occur when an application shutdown during an nDVR recording.

  • Fixed an issue with user credentials appearing in logged RTSP URLs.
