Hi,
I have started working with scheduled viewing and set up my smil file successfully. I wanted to ask if it was possible to specify the location of the smil file on a remote server when setting up the applications settings?
If so how can I accomplish this?
Yes, you can do that @Arnold Agaba through MediaCache. I will provide some documentation for you below. Please know you are always welcome to request assistance through a support ticket and our engineers are happy to walk you through it.

Hi @Rose Power-Wowza Community Manager, thank you for your response. I have set up a VOD edge application with a media cache source pointing to my content folder on my php web server. In regards to the documentation you sent I wanted to inquire if the pathSelectorPrefix could be used to point to the location of the smil file on the same php server?
And how do I specify the stream link to the smil file so that the VOD application plays the scheduled videos?
I have attempted accessing the content on my php server using the streamlink http://192.168.43.149:1935/test/definst/smil:testschedule.smil/playlist.m3u8/manifest.mpd but with no success
Thanks once again
I am not exactly sure on how to do that, so let me discuss with some engineers and get back to you later today. Thanks @Arnold Agaba.
I have some information for you @Arnold Agaba.
If your media files and SMIL files are in the same location on your server, you do not need the Path Selector module. You would just need a regular MediaCache configuration. If you are having an issue with this, please feel to open a support ticket to receive more direct assistance with your configuration.
Also, an engineer here who took a quick peek at your post says your playback url is incorrect and has both HLS and DASH components which will not work.
We are here to assist you if you require additional clarification:
