# Wowza vs. Storm Streaming Server

What are the differences between Wowza vs. Storm Streaming Server?  
I’m looking to allow users to a web page to record a quick video from their webcam.

Hi @tommy, I don’t know too much about them to be honest, but I guess as far as your use case goes- with Wowza you could allow all incoming streams from a user’s webcam to be recorded. You’d control that part yourself in either Streaming Engine or Streaming Cloud. That’s a common use case and is indeed possible. I’m not able to compare to Storm Server since I’m not familiar with them.
