# Wowza streaming engine in AWS instead of AMI

Hello,

I have a question. Can i use the standalone wowza in AWS instead of the AMI?

Which are the benefits of using the AMI?

Also which is the cost?

Can the cost be controlled and we don’t run into problems ?
