# Wowza Streaming engine denies stream

Hey,

i got a little problem with my Wowza Streaming Engine. If i would like to send a stream from an extern encoder the engine is actively denying the request.

The encoder sends a tcp request to port 80. The Port is open. I tried it with active and inactive firewall. i tried different ports. I tried to find an answer here in the forum and the troubleshooting guid but nothing seems to work.

Anyone having any ideas?

Streaming over localhost is working fine. And i got the problem with an external encoder “digital rapids TouchStream”, external PC with VLC or OBS as encoders.

Is there a setting that i am missing or is anyone having similar problems?

look under the application for source security in the GUI, open your protocol (RTMP?)
