# Wowza service crashes sometimes

Hi,

I have an AWS ec2 instance with Wowza installed. Sometimes the wowza service stops automatically. Is there a script or tool to check if that service is running and restart the service if its not running?

Wowza can be configured to start upon server start up, but I do not know of a way to restart Wowza after a Wowza crash, other then manually.

The best thing to do would be to open a ticket with support so they can figure out why Wowza is crashing and how to avoid crashing in the future.
