# wowza Manager is stopping

Hello, I have upgraded from wowza 2 to wowza Manager 4. I followed the steps you provided me with. The streaming engine is working fine, but the wowza manager is stopping each time I start it. Please advice.

Hi,

When you say “the wowza manager is stopping each time I start it.”

do you mean the service does not start, or starts, but does not stay started?

What entries, if any, do you see in the file [install-dir]/manager\bin\batch.log?

Or entries in the logs files located in [install-dir]/manager\logs ?

Hi,

It starts and then stops immediately

The batch.log:

> startmgr.bat: runmode=service
> 
> setenv.bet: JAVA\_HOME is: “C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0\_31”
> 
> startmgr.bat java returned: 0

Hi,

To accurately troubleshoot this issue, please create a ticket by sending an email to support@wowza.com

When creating a ticket, please include a ZIP file containing the following directories:

[Wowza-Install]/conf/

[Wowza-Install]/logs/

[Wowza-Install]/manager/logs/

Please make sure you provide logs which show Wowza server starting.
