Hello Forum,

I have a very strange problem that i came across. Whenever i start wowza the java.exe process starts up. It runs and its ok. But after few days when i look at this process the physical memory used by the java process increases. And if i leave the process running as it is, it eats up the whole memory of my windows server 2008 which is 8GB, so makes my server to restart. How can i fix this problem. Please help me out.

Thanks

Are you running any custom modules? See here for suggestions on submitting a support request. For example, which Wowza version?

To control how much RAM the java process uses you can set the max heap size. Follow the [tuning guide](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-do-performance-tuning).

Try the different garbage collection settings.

If that doesn’t fix it, you can check for a [memory leak](http://java.dzone.com/news/how-fix-memory-leaks-java).
