# Will the standard GoCoder app from the App & Play stores now support SRT?

Hi @Michael Williams, we are close to offering this in the next few months, but as of right now Wowza can connect to any H.264 encoder that supports the [Secure Reliable Transport (SRT)](https://www.srtalliance.org/) protocol. Since the GoCoder is based on our proprietary WOWZ protocol…the answer to your question is not yet, but very soon. I will announce it here when we do! Thanks.

Wowza Streaming Engine can create a SRT stream even if it’s a non-SRT source and create an SRT stream for playback.

Workflow can be GoCoder SDK -\> WSE -\> SRT stream target for playback. The player will need to support SRT and be listening on the set port.
