# Why do we have to use Wowza to stream to Facebook Live and not directly?

Hi Arturo. Of course, it’s possible to stream directly to Facebook Live. But there are many reasons to let send your stream to a Wowza Server, or Wowza Cloud, and distribute it further from there. Here are a few examples:
- If you want to stream to Facebook, YouTube and/or a CDN at the same time
- If your input stream is a in a non-compliant format, and needs transcoding
- If you want to secure your stream
- If you want to provide an Adaptive Bitrate stream, for a better user experience
- etc.

The biggest problem is for streaming providers, right?
Because it’s not possible to offer this very requested feature for the customers.
