Which players supoprt: a) Apple HLS streams in Flash b) DVR Live Streaming I see that JW Player 6 Premium supports Apple HLS streams in Flash and that JW Player 6 also support DVR Live Streaming. Any alternatives to JW Player? ---

I guess only JW Player 6 Premium does then. ---

We looked into this, you will need the Enterprise (ads) license for JW Player 6 for DVR playback. The Premium version supports HLS playback on the desktop and iOS devices, and it will playback a DVR stream (using ?DVR in playback url), but the DVR controls are not displayed, so only live view is available. JW Player 6 is the only option I am aware of that will do HLS to desktop browsers. But you can do DVR with smooth streams using a Silverlight player on the desktop. The [Expression 4 Encoder has players](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-use-the-microsoft-expression-encoder4-player-templates-with-wowza-media-server) you can use and modify. The [SMF project](http://smf.codeplex.com) is another source of players And Wowza ships with DVR Silverlight example that includes player source. Richard ---

I have not used it but you can have a look at [https://github.com/denivip/osmf-hls-plugin](https://github.com/denivip/osmf-hls-plugin) You can test this plugin with StrobeMediaPlayer which is also based on osmf framework. ---
