# What will break if I change the ?

I am trying to install “NuSoft HDVFR” on a production server, and part of the install instructions say to change the from FLV to MP4. I’m a little leery of this because it’s a server-wide setting. What might break if I make the change?

Hello.

So this property is there and available to modify. I am pretty sure there is nothing that could go wrong with making the change, and I actually made the change and never noticed any issues.

Also, as of Wowza version 4.x this default has been changed from .flv to .mp4. Just fyi.
