# What hardware do you suggest for live streaming satellite tv channels?

Richard, What hardware do you suggest for live streaming satellite tv channels?

is there any wowza recommended or tested hardware for live streaming tv channels?

We recommend late model dual quad cpu, 4 - 8g RAM, 64bit OS/JDK, and at least 1gbs nic

Network access is the limiting factor, so 2gbs nic should double capacity. With above specs Wowza can saturate 4 bonded 1 gbs nic. Above that requires special configuration, multiple instances of Wowza.
