# webrtc working but HLS not working for the samewebrtc working but

I am using webrtc sample for testing

I am able to stream/view. but 2 issues

1. HLS is not working

2. Audio is missing in playing stream

Details

- I tested on “Wowza Streaming Engine 4.7”

- Streamed my Self from Chrome browser Os: Mac

- For Streaming i was using “[https://www.wowza.com/\_private/webrtc/4.7.0/publish/](https://www.wowza.com/_private/webrtc/4.7.0/publish/)”

- On Preview URL(“[https://www.wowza.com/\_private/webrtc/4.7.0/play/](https://www.wowza.com/_private/webrtc/4.7.0/play/)”) i was able to play stream on browser but no audio

- In wowza admin console log i can see HLS path is created, but stream was not playing.

Hello @Shankar Thapa

To be able to play the stream back for HLS you will either need to set your WebRTC ‘webrtcPreferredCodecsVideo’ Property in your webrtc Application.xml to use H.264 or transcode the video to H.264.

For audio not playing back, you will need to transcode the Opus audio that WebRTC creates to a HLS supported codec AAC.

Then you will playback that transcoded rendition. e.g. myStream\_360p
