# Watermarking for VOD

I see from [this post](http://community.wowza.com/t/-/42227) that as of February 2014 watermarking was not available for VOD streams. Is this still the case? It would be very helpful as my company is not interested in live streams.

Adding a watermark to VOD content requires reencoding the content with the overlay of your choice. Adding a watermark for VOD content via Wowza Streaming Engine is not supported.
