# using webcam on local intranet

Hello Guys,

i am making lan based web application which requires web cam recording. i have installed the wowza on one local server and trying to access from flash player on local ip but not able to access the same. can somebody help me with the configuration for the same?

Hi Sameer, I am sorry, I read your post wrong, I thought I read ip camera but i was incorrect.

If you paste this url http://[wowza-address]:1935 in your browser on a remote machine, you should see the Wowza version and build.

if not, port 1935 may need to be opened, and you have to forward port 1935 to the Wowza server in your router.
