# Unable to stream vod to android

Wondering if someone may pass on some advice. I am trying to test outside local streaming using VOD. I have set the stream file url to: rtsp://xxxxxxxx:1935/vod/file then with phone connected to data towers use same url but get an error saying “sorry this video cannot be played”. Ideas what I may be doing wrong? This is what I have done so far:

Change the Application.xml:

1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx

2xx.xxx.xxx.xxx\</RTSPConnectionI$

2xx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Port Forward:

1935 TCP

6970-9999 UDP

Am I missing something?

I found it is not just android that is being restricted. I’ve test it with other devices such as iPAD, iPhone, and still get the same results. I thought maybe it was the firewall but my VoIP server and other servers are running smoothly with firewall rules.
