Hi

I am building a location based server application for mobile devices and need to render 3gp file as well to mobile user.

However when I am trying to play 3gp file, only audio is coming no video. Any suggestions ? Wowza manual says 3gp is a supported media format.

Hi there,

What is the video codec?

The 3gp container is supported as long as the video codec is h264.

.3gp is a quicktime container like .mp4 .mov and others. What really matters is the codec of the video and audio tracks. Take a look at the [Video on Demand Encoding](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-encode-video-on-demand-content) article. If you need this for playback on mobile devices, there is an example for that

And take a look at the [Mobile Test](https://www.wowza.com/html/mobile.html)

You can download [this file](https://www.wowza.com/_h264/BigBuckBunny_115k.mov) mentioned in the encoding guide for testing

Hi there,

Does it work if you use the Flash RTMP example player?

For mobile you need to use a profile of baseline.

Have a look at the mobile example here:

[How to encode video on demand content](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-encode-video-on-demand-content)

Also take a look at this article, there is a link to a mobile test you can try:
